I wish to send my sincere thanks to the Galtee Walking Club members who assisted with the Winter Walking Festival in the Glen of Aherlow last weekend. All your Walk Leaders and Sweepers did a fantastic job managing so many visiting walkers. In total we had 873 walking over the 2 days. We had super winter weather and everybody came back safely having had a great days walking. Thanks to Tom Lyons, your chairman for working so closely with us.
Best wishes from all at Aherlow Fáilte

If anyone would like to volunteer to lead walks, we would love to hear from you. We need people for sunday walks April - June and for wednesday evening walks from April to September. Everyone must have a favourite walk in their area that could be shared. Please get back to us. Thanks, Mo

Dear walkers,
We hope to interest your members in a trip to the Alpujarra: as individuals or as an organised group.
You might like to discuss the possibility as a committee and downloading this .pdf information sheet would be a basis for discussion. http://www.walkalpujarra.com/downloads/walking_clubs.pdf
If you think members would be more interested on an individual basis then of course we would be very grateful if you were able to include mention of www.walkalpujarra.com in your newsletter or on your messageboard.
walkAlpujarra has much experience in helping groups like yours to organise foreign trips Even one for the Irish president, Mary McAleese and friends) and if you would like the reassurance of references from other (UK) groups then we would be happy to put you in touch with them.

Urgent message for all C walkers. There is a mistake on the paper for next weeks C walk. My humble apologies. The C walk will start from Clydagh Bridge at 11am when Rita Mooney will take the group on a climb to Lake Curra. The previous C walk which was led by Theresa Roche was entered by mistake. I hope noone is inconvenienced by this. Mo

Chamonix 2010. Our thanks to Breda Ryan and Ann Donohoe for organising the travel and accommodation arrangements for this great trip.
Our appreciation to Pat for selecting and leading most amazing walks. Gerard was always available with his outstretched hand to help the less agile of us over the occasional obstacle. Wonderful holiday, best of company and Tipperary won !
